The GAC Hilversum has the first track in the Netherlands which is equipped with SmarTracks. It is also immediately the largest SmarTracks location worldwide.

While SmarTracks has been installed in hundreds of sports locations across the globe, the GAC Hilversum premiers the largest SmarTracks facility up to date, with 130 Timing Gates installed in the following areas:

• sprint lanes
• round lanes
• long jump run-up
• triple jump run-up
• pole vault run-up
• steeple chase

There is no other location in the world that has the same level of density of Timing Gates. This offers athletes and coaches an unparalleled amount of high-quality timing and step information for their training.

The GAC athletics club has around 1500 members, with a substantial youth department.
